The AppLister project was created in order to test and check whether certain programs were installed and are correctly running on a machine.
Originally designed with a distributed homogenous environment in mind, such as those at universities or company offices.
This scripted application tests and checks each program specified in the corresponding program list, and executes each program.
Program status is then gathered from ps, and it's current operational status recorded and output.
After all programs have been successfully run, the terminal will ask the user to terminate all running processes. Redirect to capture.
